The recipies on this page are ones that I have developed myself through experimental cooking. I tend to bake in bulk so that I don’t have to cook every day, so feel free to adapt quantities and ingredients to your preferences and individual circumstances.
“No/Very Low” recipies are ideal stomach fillers for those with big appetities, but always remember your child needs carbs as well so always add the recommended amount of carbs from your professional support team to the whole meal. Remember that eating high fat / high protein / low carb foods first will slow the digestion of carbohydrates eaten later, so balance carbs across the meal to avoid hypoglycemia.
“Low Glycemic Index” options are great to combine with the No/Very Low options to give your child the carbs they need, and can also be perfect prior to sports activities (always monitor blood sugar levels regularly during sports).
